after a less-than-desirable friday afternoon...

it seemed that my karma shifted during my trip to newark on saturday:

1. i got upgraded to business class - i flew northwest - for the manila to nagoya leg and i just have to say that it was heavenly. since i didn't get any sleep the night before, i thoroughly enjoyed the fully-reclining seat with massage function.

2. i made a plane friend. his name's philip and he's a mechanic with the u.s. navy. he gave me a commemorative coin, which i first thought was a paper weight. ang bigat eh!

3. for the other two legs after manila-nagoya, i was assigned seats with lots of leg room so i was able to stretch out while i slept.
