i'm excited just thinking about it.

i'm getting this when it comes out in asia next year. say what you will about it not being 3G or having a lot of bugs, i don't care. it's a sexy beast and the user interface looks fool proof. i dare you to disagree after watching the demo.

buti na lang talaga next year pa ang labas nya dito, otherwise impulse buying ang aabutin ko.

bagio roundup

my friends and i went up to baguio last week and got back just yesterday. thoroughly enjoyed the trip. the weather was perfect, the company top-notch. and, as is true of any out-of-town get-together, things happened that made us laugh, cry, think...

  1. Vibradom vibrating condoms. Being sold in the Bonjour convenience store at Total along NLEX.
  2. Gargol mouthwash. How very pinoy.
  3. “Lisa, you have to teach me all about juzz!” – Bart to his sister Lisa on The Simpsons
  4. Rico Blanco handed in his resignation from Rivermaya. And they accepted. Huge mistake.
  5. CafĂ© by the Ruins is closed for renovation until July 12. Sad. A trip to Baguio isn’t complete unless one has eaten at least one meal there.
  6. I was the only person without a partner during our trip to Baguio. It sucked. Ramdam na ramdam ko sya nung nag-ikot kme sa Mines View Park at mag-isa akong nag-ikot. Shyet.
  7. It’s funny how the guys we were with were more afraid of the (alleged) ghosts in the house than we were. Now that I think about it, a lot of the guys I know are such sissies when it comes to ghosts. They'll laugh at us when we run away from cockroaches, but when it comes to going up the second floor alone to use the john, they're like little boys asking their mommy to wait outside the door until they're done.
  8. The kid that plays Nicolette Sheridan’s (Edie Britt) son on "Desperate Housewives" is the same kid who plays Ben Stiller’s son in "Night at the Museum". He’s annoying on the TV show. No different in the movie.
  9. I went to Starbucks to try out their wifi connection. No dice because their server was down. First Cafe by the Ruins, now Starbucks. What’s up with Baguio?
  10. Was finally able to try out my MacBook’s Bluetooth feature. Awesome.
  11. "Shutter" is cool. This horror movie from Thailand has touches of "Ringu" and "Ju-on" to really scare the bejeezus out of you, but it also has a story that makes it more interesting and creepy than its Japanese counterparts.

blogthings part 2

You Are 96% Real

There's hardly a person on this earth more real than you are.
You have no problem showing people who you are, flaws and all.
For you, there couldn't be any other way. Because it's way too stressful to live an inauthentic life.
You're very comfortable with yourself. And because of this, you're able to live an exciting, interesting, and challenging life.

****************

You Are Low Maintenance

Otherwise known as "too good to be true"
You're one laid back chica - and men love that!
Just remember that no good guy likes a doormat.
So if you find your self going along to get along...
Stop yourself and put up a little bit of a fight.

****************

You Can Hang With the Guys and the Girls

You've struck a good balance between girlie and laid back.
You can keep it casual but when you dress up, you are as girly as the next girl.

****************

You Are An Independent Girlfriend!

Whoa, Ms. Independent! Your guy digs your modern style...
But he's sometimes left to wonder if you really like him.
Keep that unique spirit, but show him your love a bit more often.
No worries - you're light years away from smothering him!

****************

Your Pick Up Line Is

See my friend over there? She wants to know if you think I'm cute.
What Pick Up Line Will Get You a Man?

****************

i love that last one. don't think i'll ever use it though.

bought a new book

Scorpion Tongues: The Irresistible History of Gossip in American Politics

found it while browsing through the aisles of Popular Bookster, after my visit to the ched on west avenue, while waiting for my mom wrap up a meeting. i believe the latest edition is now called:

Scorpion Tongues New and Updated Edition: Gossip, Celebrity, and American Politics

i don't know if it's any good as i'm only about to start reading it, but the description on the back cover reads:

"Did Woodrow Wilson murder his first wife? Absolutely not. Did Hillary Clinton throw the lamp? Maybe. From Thomas Jefferson to William Jefferson Clinton, Scorpion Tongues examines the evolving relationship between politicians and the press and speculates on the cyclical throughout [America's] history... Scorpion Tongues is the history book you wish you read in school."

so i decided to take a chance.

book/reading aficionados may want to visit Popular Bookstore, located along Tomas Morato, and check out their interesting selection of books. they don't carry the titles that one would normally find in national bookstore or power books.

Popular Bookstore is located on 305 T. Morato Ave., Quezon City (near the roundabout, beside Fleur De Lys).
